The Best Drinking Board Games

Drinking Board Games

There’s plenty of drinking games you can play with just a pack of cards, or even without them. While these games are fun, they don’t quite match the depth and scope of drinking board games. If you’re looking for a great drinking board game to play with your friends, but you’re not sure where to start then you’ve come to the right place.  Here are our favorites including both dedicated drinking games and some well-known names with additional booze focused rules.

Drink-a-Palooza

Drink-A-Palooza is a board game from Wagner Concepts Inc. that claims to be “all the drinking games combined into one drinking board game.” First developed in 2001 under the name “The College Experience” it’s rapidly increased in popularity and seen several improved releases.

Drink-a-Palooza Rules

Players: 2-12

  • Each player chooses a colored game piece to represent them on the board. These pieces are empty six packs and the aim of the game is to fill it by completing actions on the board.
  • Flick the spinner in the center of the board, whoever it lands on goes first.
  • Roll the dice. Move as many steps clockwise as you roll. Each square has an action on it that you must perform. Some of the more simple actions include “take two drinks” or “social,” a special action where everybody takes a drink.
  • There are also actions named after other drinking games. For example if you land on “beer pong” you would try and get a ping pong ball into the cup on the center of the board. Succeeding would give you one beer to put into your empty six pack. Get six to win!
  • There are many other games included as actions including flip cup, quarters and higher and lower.
